What is an Ambassador Of Christ?
An ambassador of Christ is one who represents Christ to the nations, ambassadors of Christ are the body of Christ.
Ephesians 2:19-20: "Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of Gods household, built on the foundations of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone."
Hebrews 3:6 But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast. An ambassador of Christ is a disciple of Jesus Christ. A disciple is one who follows one’s teacher, a pupil, a learner and imitator of the teacher.
Jesus' disciples learned from Him as they lived with Him for more than 3 years. Jesus taught them by how He lived -- by His example. He instructed them by word, and they asked Him questions. They asked about scripture (Matthew 17:10), about what He meant by what He had said (Luke 8:9), about how to live (Mark 10:10), about their failures (Mark 9:28), and about His will (Luke 9:54).
The same is true today. Reading God’s word teaches us about how Jesus lived, guides us by His example, instructs us by His word, about His will, about how we are to live, about our failures and brokenness, about His love, grace, faithfulness and forgiveness. Through reading the word of God and prayer, He instructs us in understanding and in truth.
JOHN 15:8: "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples."
JOHN 13:35: "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
1 Corinthians 13:13: “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love”
